The culinary program at Montage offers an artful array of Laguna Beach dining options in comfortably elegant craftsman-style venues overlooking the Pacific. The creative menus, developed by some of the industry’s top professionals, reflect the artistic heritage of the Laguna Beach setting and make inventive use of fresh seasonal ingredients indigenous to coastal California as well as artisanal products, wines, and spirits from talented producers worldwide.
Studio
The resort’s signature restaurant features modern French cuisine with California influences by Executive Chef Craig Strong. Menus include à la carte selections of starters, entrées, cheeses, and desserts; and a six-course seasonal prix-fixe Chef’s Tasting Menu. Studio’s wine program features more than 2,200 wine labels, an extensive menu of wines-by-the-glass, and suggested wine pairings for each dish. Small plates are offered at the communal table and the turn-of-the-century bar, an Airy, art-filled room with residential ambiance at the edge of a coastal bluff, with panoramic views of the ocean and lush landscapes through floor-to-ceiling windows.

The Loft
Headed by Chef de Cuisine Casey Overton, Montage’s comfortable all-day restaurant features market-fresh, creative American cuisine to be enjoyed in relaxed surroundings with friendly, informed, and professional service. Chef Overton’s innovative signature dishes are a personal interpretation of California regional cuisine with strong influences from the Americas. The interactive Cheese Gallery is a popular feature every evening with more than 100 selections for guests to sample and design a custom cheese plate. Here the talented fromagiers’ offer tasting tips and anecdotes, and pairs cheeses with house-made accompaniments, such as crackers, caramels, nuts, fruit compotes, and honeys. Cheese and wine tastings are available for groups and special events.
