Capital of state of the same name, Zacatecas is built into a ravine on the slopes of Cerro de la Bouffe. The city has a dry climate with an average temperature of 60º F but can lower to 32° F in the winter. Luxury bus service is available for travel to Mexico City, which is approximately seven hours away.
